Fabrics Business Unit (BU) within Services Business Line is supplying high-quality fabrics for entire board, paper and tissue making lines and to the various processes in the pulp, mining, chemical and energy industries. In addition, Fabrics BU provides industrial textiles to the laundry industry. There are around 1300 employees working in Fabrics BU’s Paper Machine Clothing (PMC) and Filtration (FTU) Technology Units and Operations, in seven different locations around the world.

We are now looking for a Vice President, Fabrics Business Unit to lead the business globally. Is this the opportunity for you? The preferred location of the position is Tampere, Finland.

Your primary responsibilities are to create, develop and execute the Fabrics strategy aligned with the Services business line strategy. You develop Fabrics business to ensure long term growth, profitability and competitiveness. In line with these responsibilities, you have global profit and loss responsibility for the business and need to maintain and develop productivity as well as ensure a competitive offering.

Other key responsibilities in this role include:

• Leading global Fabrics organization
• Manufacturing and global footprint
• Technology support for sales and development of resources
• Global pricing and global application policies
• Research and technology development
• Fostering resource cross-utilization and furthering value add concept development
• Global overview of relationship management of partners and sub-suppliers
• Preparation of acquisition proposals and strategic investments

In this role, you will report to the Services Business Line President and you will be a member of Services Management Team. You work closely with and provide support to the Area organizations to drive growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.

• We are looking for a business leader who can unlock and execute the best ways to achieve profitable growth. You demonstrate strong financial acumen.
• You have world class leadership and people skills.
• You have Master's degree from a relevant field of studies and preferably at least 8 years of related experience with understanding of relevant industry, products, technology, and business processes.
• We work in a global matrix company so you should have demonstrated success from a similar environment and are a strong communicator (written and verbal) in English.
• You are a strong decision maker, passionate leader and able to quickly establish credibility.
• You develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
• The ability to manage an extensive set of responsibilities and knowledge of project/service business and processes are a must.
• You have knowledge of agreement-based business and of sourcing and procurement.
• You drive continuous improvement and lean & digitalization
